Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union Discusses Ways to Support and Facilitate Humanitarian Aid to the Gaza Strip at the Consulate

A delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union visited the Consulate of Palestine in Istanbul on Thursday, January 25, 2024. During the visit, they discussed ways to support and facilitate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a devastating Israeli war causing an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
The delegation included the Union’s Chairman Mr. Mazen Al-Hassasna, Board members Mr. Mahmoud Al-Saghir and Mr. Fouad Badawi, the Head of the Media Department, and Dr. Ranin Al-Zaanin, the Union’s Executive Director. They were warmly received by Her Excellency Hanaa Abu Ramadan, the General Consul of the State of Palestine in Istanbul.
The Turkish government has evacuated dozens of wounded and sick Palestinians from Gaza and, in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority, transferred them via Egypt’s Al-Arish Airport to Ankara.
In response, General Consul Hanaa Abu Ramadan expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation for this fruitful visit and the Union’s commitment to its responsibilities. She also provided insights into the vital role the consulate plays in serving the Palestinian community residing in Istanbul.
The meeting also addressed Israeli practices in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and their impact on the Palestinian people. Mr. Al-Hassasna expressed the Union’s ongoing readiness to contribute to alleviating their burdens.
