Humanitarian Campaign for Our Displaced Brothers April 1, 2025 Social Responsibility By the grace of God, on the 19th day of Ramadan, the Palestine Charity Association carried out a humanitarian campaign for our displaced brothers in the camp east of Al-Maghazi in the central governorate. With generous funding from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen’s Union, sheep were slaughtered and iftar meals were distributed to fasting individuals. The efforts of the Union continue in extending support to our people in the Gaza Strip, as iftar meal campaigns proceed across various areas of Gaza. Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa January 29, 2024 Social Responsibility A delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen’s Union, in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy in Ankara, visited the newly opened Embassy of South Africa in the Turkish capital, Ankara—an initiative that reflects the depth of diplomatic relations and mutual appreciation. The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr. Faed Mustafa, expressed the Palestinian people’s sincere gratitude to the Republic of South Africa for its ongoing support. He emphasized the vital role South Africa has played in advocating for the Palestinian cause on the international stage, especially after filing a case against the Israeli occupation at the International Court of Justice. South Africa’s Ambassador, Ms. Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, warmly welcomed the delegation, stating that their embassy in Ankara is considered a “second home” for every Palestinian in Turkey. She stressed that the Palestinian cause is a global one and that the time has come to usher in a new political era that champions freedom and independence. She recalled the words of the late President Nelson Mandela: “South Africa’s freedom will not be complete without the freedom of Palestine.” Mr. Mazen Al-Hasasneh, Chairman Of The Board of the Businessmen’s Union, also expressed his deep appreciation to South Africa for its historic stance in support of the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that this message reflects the sentiment of every Palestinian and highlighted the strong and enduring bond between the Palestinian and South African peoples—solidified by the late leaders Yasser Arafat and Nelson Mandela. The meeting concluded with Ambassador Letsatsi-Duba offering condolences to the Palestinian families who lost loved ones and wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded. She reaffirmed her hope for a near victory for the Palestinian people, supported by international solidarity and the implementation of international court rulings. Sending a Convoy to Our Grieving People in Gaza November 1, 2023 Social Responsibility From the very first day of the war on Gaza, we at the Union committed to extending a helping hand to our grieving people in Gaza. In the first month of the war, we organized a relief convoy consisting of 8 large containers filled with essential and urgent items such as children’s clothing, shoes, blankets, and other necessities. In coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, these trucks were launched from the Eyüpsultan Municipality Square in Istanbul.
