Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmed Yildiz, reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for Palestine’s request to obtain full membership in the United Nations during a meeting at the UN General Assembly. Ambassador Yildiz called on the international community to urgently address the Palestinian issue and highlighted the recent brutal attacks witnessed in Gaza. Turkey firmly rejected any military operation against the city of Rafah and any attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their land.

Accordingly, the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union announces its strong endorsement and full support for Turkey’s decision to back Palestine’s bid for full membership in the United Nations, emphasizing the vital importance of this historic decision in supporting justice, human rights, and advancing peace in the region.
