test June 17, 2025 News 🔰 Delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Association Visits Başakşehir Mayor to Strengthen Mutual Cooperation As part of ongoing efforts to enhance economic and social relations between the Palestinian and Turkish communities, a delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Association paid an official visit to the municipality of Başakşehir in Istanbul, where they were welcomed by His Excellency Mayor Mr. Yasin Kartoğlu. The delegation was led by: – Mr. Mahmoud Al-Zagheer – Association President – Mr. Bassam Al-Haj – Head of International Relations – Mr. Ahmed Yılmaz – Financial Officer The visit aimed to explore cooperation opportunities and identify investment prospects that could support Palestinian entrepreneurs residing in Turkey. 🔹 The meeting began with a welcoming speech by Mr. Al-Zagheer, in which he introduced the delegation members and highlighted the Association’s journey since its founding. He showcased its major achievements and initiatives — foremost among them being support for Palestinian entrepreneurial projects and the strengthening of ties with official Turkish institutions. He also emphasized the strategic importance of the Başakşehir region as a vibrant investment location, making it an ideal environment for hosting Palestinian ventures. In response, Mayor Mr. Yasin Kartoğlu warmly welcomed the delegation, praised the Association’s role in strengthening ties between the two communities, and confirmed the municipality’s readiness to provide full support to Palestinian businessmen. This includes facilitating municipal procedures, offering consultations, and collaborating on joint social and economic initiatives. 🔹 As a symbolic gesture reflecting the depth of the relationship between both sides, a commemorative shield was presented by the Association to His Excellency the Mayor in recognition of his efforts and constructive cooperation in supporting the Palestinian community in Başakşehir. Also attending the meeting was Başakşehir District Governor Mr. Cemil Özgür Öneği, accompanied by an official delegation. Their presence added a high-level official tone to the visit and reinforced the institutional dimension of the meeting, reflecting the mutual commitment to developing communication and cooperation channels between both sides. 🔹 At the conclusion of the visit, both parties stressed the importance of continuing coordination meetings and opening direct lines of communication between the municipality and the Association, in a way that serves the interests of Palestinian businessmen and promotes effective integration within Turkish society. 🔹 At the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Association, we believe that positive partnership and community integration are the ideal paths to achieving economic development and strengthening the presence of the Palestinian business community in Turkey.
