A Delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union Participates in Important Meetings at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo December 20, 2024 News A delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union participated in important meetings held yesterday, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. These meetings were part of the launch of the “Hope for the Future Initiative,” which was sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. During the meeting, the Union’s Chairman, Mr. Mazen Al-Hassasna, emphasized the importance of this initiative, which addresses the needs of Palestinians, especially under the difficult conditions faced by the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression. Al-Hassasna also highlighted the initiatives launched by the Union to support Palestinian students in general and particularly those studying abroad, praising the efforts made to advocate for their causes. He further commended the significant role of partners working in this field and affirmed the Union’s readiness to always be part of any effort supporting Palestinian university students, with its doors open to them. He stressed the absolute priority given to the reconstruction of universities and schools in the Gaza Strip. Also participating in the sessions was Dr. Issa Al-Khawaja, Head of the Public Relations Department at the Union, who underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation with international and regional institutions to support Palestinians in various fields. He called on everyone, especially Arab official levels, to work toward dismantling obstacles that prevent Palestinian students from completing their education in the Arab countries where they reside. During the visit, His Excellency Dr. Saeed Abu Ali, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League for Palestinian Affairs, received the Union delegation. Discussions focused on ways to develop the Union’s operational mechanisms and enhance its extensive international network of relations, as well as exploring the possibility of benefiting from the Arab League’s programs to support Palestinians in various sectors, including education. Regarding the “Hope for the Future Initiative,” it was confirmed that additional scholarships will be allocated to Palestinian students through cooperation with Stardom University and the American University in Sharjah, as a step to support Palestinian students abroad. It is noteworthy that this initiative comes at a sensitive time when the Palestinian people face significant challenges. These efforts aim to ensure the provision of educational opportunities and continuous support for future generations. Continuation of the Ongoing Series of Visits Organized by the Board of Directors of the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union December 20, 2024 News As part of the ongoing series of visits organized by the Board of Directors of the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union, the Union’s Vice Chairman Of The Board, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Saghir, and Executive Secretary, Ms. Ranin Al-Zaanin, visited Union member Mr. Mohammed Shinar yesterday, Monday, November 11, 2024. The meeting included important discussions addressing the challenges faced by the Palestinian community in Turkey. It also focused on the Union’s continuous efforts to follow up on all issues related to Palestinian citizens and businessmen, working to overcome the obstacles they may face. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening communication between Union members and opening channels of dialogue among the various members, aiming to find joint solutions to enhance the role of Palestinian businessmen in Turkey and support the Palestinian economy in general. Continuation of the Series of Visits Conducted by the Board of Directors of the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union December 20, 2024 News As part of the series of visits organized by the Board of Directors of the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union, the Union’s Vice Chairman Of The Board, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Saghir, and Executive Secretary, Ms. Ranin Al-Zaanin, visited Union member Mr. Mahmoud Jabara today, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The meeting featured important discussions about the challenges facing shipping companies and Palestinian businessmen in Turkey, especially given the difficult circumstances currently prevailing in the region. The discussions also addressed recent decisions related to import and export sectors. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the significant efforts exerted by the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union to ensure the continuity of Palestinian businessmen’s activities in Turkey and to overcome the economic obstacles they face. The Second Palestinian National Economic Meeting in Istanbul
The Second Palestinian National Economic Meeting in Istanbul December 20, 2024 News The Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Eng. Mohammed Al-Amour, met with the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union in the presence of dozens of Palestinian businessmen and traders. The meeting was also attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Turkey, Dr. Faed Mustafa, the Consul General Hanaa Abu Ramadan, Consul Moaz Al-Atshan, and the advisor at the Palestinian Embassy in Ankara, Rana Abu Siba’a. The meeting opened with a speech by the Chairman of the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union, Mr. Mazen Al-Hassasna, followed by remarks from the Ambassador, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the Embassy’s ongoing role in supporting the interests of the Palestinian people in Turkey. Minister Al-Amour discussed the new Palestinian procedures related to the import of Turkish goods. The meeting focused on ways to enhance economic cooperation and facilitate the entry of Turkish products into Palestinian markets. The Minister stressed the importance of this meeting in strengthening trade relations between Palestine and Turkey, highlighting the need to address the problems faced by Palestinian traders resulting from these procedures. All inquiries from Palestinian businessmen and traders involved in import and export were taken into consideration, especially regarding customs declarations and the export of goods from Turkey to Palestine. Several questions about customs procedures were raised to ensure the facilitation of trade exchange and to enhance the economic benefits for both parties.
