Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union Reveals Visit to Turkish Ministry of Trade January 29, 2024 News Explores Ways to Develop Cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Trade Ankara – Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union In an exceptional meeting on Monday, January 29, 2024, Turkish Minister of Trade Dr. Ömer Bolat received the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen Union at the Ministry headquarters in Ankara. The delegation included the Palestinian Ambassador to Ankara, Dr. Faed Mustafa, Union Chairman Of The Board Mr. Mazen Al-Hassasna, and members of the Board of Directors. The meeting involved in-depth discussions on enhancing trade relations and strengthening economic ties between Turkey and Palestine. Mr. Al-Hassasna expressed his gratitude to the Turkish minister and presented a comprehensive overview of the contributions made by both current and former board members of the Union in supporting the Turkish economy and advancing trade between the two nations and the world. The discussions also touched on the challenges faced by Palestinian businessmen in Turkey and the future goal of establishing direct links between the Union and various departments within the Ministry. This would allow for regular updates on laws, regulations, and events issued by the Ministry. Dr. Bolat, in turn, affirmed his full support for the Union and pledged to remove all obstacles hindering improved performance and increased trade volume. He also emphasized the ongoing efforts to enhance economic cooperation and commercial relations between the two countries. The Turkish Minister expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemned the Israeli attacks. He reaffirmed Turkey’s support for the implementation of international court rulings regarding genocide and emphasized the Turkish government’s efforts—led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan—to achieve an immediate ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid. He also reiterated Turkey’s recognition of the State of Palestine. Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa January 29, 2024 Social Responsibility A delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Businessmen’s Union, in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy in Ankara, visited the newly opened Embassy of South Africa in the Turkish capital, Ankara—an initiative that reflects the depth of diplomatic relations and mutual appreciation. The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr. Faed Mustafa, expressed the Palestinian people’s sincere gratitude to the Republic of South Africa for its ongoing support. He emphasized the vital role South Africa has played in advocating for the Palestinian cause on the international stage, especially after filing a case against the Israeli occupation at the International Court of Justice. South Africa’s Ambassador, Ms. Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, warmly welcomed the delegation, stating that their embassy in Ankara is considered a “second home” for every Palestinian in Turkey. She stressed that the Palestinian cause is a global one and that the time has come to usher in a new political era that champions freedom and independence. She recalled the words of the late President Nelson Mandela: “South Africa’s freedom will not be complete without the freedom of Palestine.” Mr. Mazen Al-Hasasneh, Chairman Of The Board of the Businessmen’s Union, also expressed his deep appreciation to South Africa for its historic stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
